#5 Risultati Eltis & Lettera alla host family💕
Niente, mi è davvero impossibile studiare, pur sapendo di avere un compito in classe importante domani.

Come avrete intuito dal titolo del post, sono finalmente arrivati i risultati dell'Eltis test di sabato 3 dicembre e non posso fare altro che maledirmi per la mia prestazione.

Il test oggettivamente è andato bene, ho preso 226/265 che equivale ad un 44/50, ma non è ciò che speravo di ottenere.
Non è del punteggio in se che mi rimprovero, ma del fatto che ogni volta che mi aspetto il meglio deludo sempre le mie aspettative. Qualcuno leggendo queste parole potrà pensare che io sia folle a pensare tutto ciò, visto il risultato positivo, ma evidentemente quel qualcuno non ha mai tenuto a qualcosa quanto io tenevo a questa.
La verità è che mi dispiace, perché più tengo a qualcosa e più tendo a sbagliare nel farla.
Questo però è un colpo che ho incassato e che sto smaltendo, ma sicuramente non mi fermerà , poiché so anche che è il primo di una lunga serie.
Come avevo promesso, è arrivato il momento di pubblicare la mia lettera alla hfamily.
Pubblico la lettera principalmente per i futuri exchange students, a cui probabilmente servirà uno spunto per la loro, ma anche un po' per me stessa, per farmi coraggio e convincermi che quello che ho scritto è un bel messaggio.
Cari exchange students, sappiate che è davvero difficile descrivere se stessi in una pagina di Word, sopratutto se lo si deve fare in un'altra lingua.
PREMESSA: se qualcuno dovesse copiare anche solo una frase di quello che ho scritto lo andrei a cercare a casa e gli staccherei tutte le dita, una ad una senza alcuna pietà .😌
"Dear host family,
I have waited so very long for this moment and I can't believe it has come at last!
I will speak with my heart in this letter to make myself known.
I am Martina and I really like my name. It means 'warrior' and it fits me perfectly because I am the kind of person who never gives up.
I am sixteen years old and I live in Rome. I love my city even though it is overcrowded and badly organized. My neighborhood is located in the South of Rome and it's quite big and what I like the most of living here is that it is near the sea.
I am a lively and cheerful girl and I am very sensitive, too. In addition to this I am a super sporty girl. I like almost every kind of sports. I play volleyball and I practice it four times a week. I play as a "libero" and I couldn't be happier with my team.
I am attending the third year of a high school which is specialized in modern languages (the Italian school system is different to the American one). Now I'm studying three languages: English, Spanish and German and I would like to move abroad to become a simultaneous interpreter and to work for a television network.
What I like the most is travelling: being at the airport and waiting to be boarded provoke strong emotions in me and that is one of the reasons why I would like to find a job that allows me to travel a lot.

In my free time I like going out with my friends: we usually go to the movies, to the shopping malls or to the beach. I also like being on my own, sometimes. I like reading novels and listening to pop music.
What about my family? There are four people in it: my father, my mother, my brother and I. We haven't got any pets but I would like to have one, maybe a small dog.
My father, Francesco, is sixty-four years old and he is a doctor.
My mother, Valeria, is forty-nine and she is a housewife.
Last but not least there is my brother Alessandro: he is eighteen years old and he is a student. He is studying to become an engineer. We have gotten on very well especially in recent years. I think it is because we share the same interests: we often go to the soccer field to support our team, Lazio, for example and we also like the same kind of music.
My mother, Valeria, is forty-nine and she is a housewife.

My parents are special human beings for me. They always support me and they are always very proud of me. Each time I have a problem I can rely on them. They are my 'tower of strength' and I know this will be forever.
There are some flaws in my family as in every other family: sometimes we argue or we don't agree about something but I think that also this makes my family unique.
I guess you are wondering why I decided to live this experience in California.

Sono soddisfatta di ciò che ne è uscito, forse non sarà perfetta, ma l'importante è che piace a me (Anche se ogni exchange student sa perfettamente che quando nel futuro rileggerà la sua lettera proverà disgusto ahahah).
Detto ciò, spero che la lettera vi sia piaciuta o che vi sia stata d'aiuto, magari fatemelo sapere in un commento qui sotto, mi farebbe molto piacere!
